Want to Read About Real Tyranny?

Check out the plight of persecuted religious dissidents ahere and stop being crybabies throwing violent tantrums because you lost a vote in a democracy.

  1. Very good column, Ron. I would add Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen to that list. As far as I am aware, she is also still facing death threats.

  2. I see what you did. We’ve gone a long way from “Dissident is the highest form of Patriotism”.

Now it’s “Shutup you lost” With the rider of “Don’t you dare try to organize so next time you might win.”

And of course we have the classic blurring of political protest and “political” violence.

Amusing that you presume that us TeaBaggers just in our Pajamas would be ignorant, and unsympathetic of persecution like that.

Especially, when you consider the editorial positions (like say with Iran), that oh say… this man has taken.

Is this how it goes: Stop being crybabies. You only get to protest if it’s really bad like with Bushitler?

  3. Only two comments. Guess that answers the question: nope, they don’t want to read about the real thing. Not much anyway.
