Tea Party Defenders Compound Racial Slurs By Calling Victims Liars

Filed under: Uncategorized — ronrosenbaumwriter @ 4:10 am

It makes me think of that Jack Nicholson line “You can’t handle the truth”. After three Congressmen testify to being targets of the n-word by TPers, a defender of the racists posts a ten second video that claims that proves the victims are liars because it’s not evident in those ten seconds, then veers into a hysterical rant, does everything to change the subject. But how satisfying it must be to add insult to injury.

First of all it’s a pathetic evasion verging on a lie to say it wasjust a CNN reporter who made the charge. The victims of the slurs themselves, among them one of America’s great civil rights heroes, Congressman John Lewis. I’m sure most TPers, ignorant of history, especially civil rights history, must not know who this man is, and in your sad little echo chamber of bile and bigotry you would never learn. But take some time to look him up, he’s a better man than any of you will ever be, and then hang your heads in shame for defending or denying the slurs he had to endure from your fellows. .

How desperate TP defenders are getting as their true nature is revealed.

  2. IOW, you’ve got nothing.

It could be true, but all the actual evidence goes the other way, and you do not dispute that.

I submit that as opposed to racism being any common motivator to the Tea Party protests, these giants of history are trapped by their history. They heard what they wanted (needed?) to hear, and credulous, desperate leftists unthinkingly accept their claims to victimhood–in this case–without question.

BTW, in history of the Tea Party, the only incident I know of where racial epithets were employed were when the union thugs were beating Kenneth Gladney. Where is your concern, Mr. Rosenbaum?

Is the realization of the prospect (I would say inevitabilty) of the failure of your movement to have any lasting benefit to humanity so abhorrent to you that you must abandon reason?

If you are man of the left, the classically* anti-liberal authoritarian, then of course you must.

*The Progressive left has been around now for about 120 years or so, and they have never deviated from adherence to the means of government force to improve society. It is the essential sameness in that regard which self-collects the communists, the facists, in fact all non-royalist authoritarians, and even the modern American left into one category–those who oppose what was best in the events of 1775.

Those who recoil in horror at limited government, who abhor liberty and devalue it in the abstract and strive to destroy it in reality.

Ladies and Gentleman, Ron Rosenbaum presents himself for your consideration.

  3. I see you get your news from The Huffington Post. You probably lived too many years around a toxic waste site.

  4. Speaking of “civil rights history,” Ron, were you aware that there was one Senator who filibustered the Civil Rights act of 1964?

Were you aware that that same Senator had been a high ranking Klansman?

And were you aware that that same Senator is still in the Senate, representing the same party?

And were you aware that that same Senator is actually one of the leaders of his party in the Senate?

And, most shocking of all, were you aware that that same Senator is not–I say again, is NOT–a Republican?

Mr. Rosenbaum, meet Senator Robert Byrd.

Now, which party has embraced racism to the point of raising a Klansman to the leadership even after filibustering civil rights legislation? It ain’t the Tea Party.

  5. Yes, because we should trust a media that is BLATANTLY assisting the Congress and this administration with passing Obamacare. Mr. Rosenbaum you are reaching new lows.

BTW, here’s what happens when you make a generalization about those “teabaggers” (no concern there, right, Mr. Rosenbaum?): many of them are black and Hispanic:

Perhaps you should have a bit of skepticism, Mr. Rosenbaum. Well, yeah, you do, it just so happens that it points in the direction of the Tea Party and not the government who wants to exercise dominion over its people because it is not satisfied with just have the people’s consent to be governed.

  6. And btw, Mr. Rosenbaum, when state a falsehood as true, then that is called lying and people who perpetuate the falsehood even in the face of evidence are called liars. Here’s proof that there was no racial slur or gay epithet called out by the protesters:

  7. Can you imagine legislators not standing up and voting for the Voting Rights Act, just “deeming and scheming” it into law? My fellow Democrats are just playing into the TP hands. Michael Moore is right that this legislation is not “health care reform”. The bill has one major benefit that compels one to vote FOR it: the pre-existing condition/no sickness cancellation proviso. It also (listen up, Ron and me, too!) clobbers Medicare. When it kicks in, efforts at compliance will create chaos and confusion. Since I have a pre-existing condition and am sick, I would have to, reluctantly, vote YES.

  8. “I’m sure most TPers, ignorant of history, especially civil rights history, must not know who this man is, and in your sad little echo chamber of bile and bigotry you would never learn.”

And yet it’s the Tea Party that’s destroying civility.

And Ron, if you really think the Tea Party is so vile, so dangerous, so racist, how can you work here with a clear conscious?

Throw down the gauntlet. Challenge Roger L. Simon or one of the other Tea Party enablers on this forum. Demand a debate where they will have to defend supporting the Tea Party.

Why do you have to lower yourself to trolling comments? Go after the big fish.

  9. A good point, courtesy of a reader of NRO’s Corner:

As everyone sweats out the final Obamacare tallies, I’m struck by a couple of other stories. In one case, someone reported hearing an anti-black epithet used at a political rally. In another case, dogged police finally arrested the perpetrator of an intolerable crime. The perp is a 16-year-old kid who made a potentially offensive comment on a Wal-Mart overhead speaker. That these things are even remotely newsworthy leads me to one conclusion: Racism in America is dead. We had slavery, then we had Jim Crow — and now we have the occasional public utterance of a bad word. Real racism has been reduced to de minimis levels, while charges of racism seem to increase. I’ll vote for the first politician with the brass to say that “racism” should be dropped from our national dialogue. We’re a good nation, among the least racist on earth . . .

  10. One has to wonder why Ron is doing this. The constant outrages, the paranoid fear mongering, the demands of penance, the child-like insults. He wants to show how wrong, paranoid, fringe, hateful, racist, small, and above all stupid the Tea Party is.

However, he wants to do it safely. He goes out of his way to avoid challenging PJM policy. He concentrates on random commentators. He can’t be so far gone that he thinks pounding the same, often incoherent (Autism anyone?) points would convince an audience that considers him to be a clown.

No, this is therapy for Ron. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Obama was loved, Obama was popular. Any resistance to him would have had to have been small (too few), racist (he’s black!), paranoid (skeptical of the government, hah!), fringe (see small), hateful (see racism and paranoia), and stupid (Ron outright says he has no idea how anyone of intelligence could support Tea Party values).

So to Ron, the Tea Party cannot be large or legitimate. But there it is. And Ron’s unwilling to go after people that actually enable the Tea Party (Roger L. Simon, Glen Reynolds, and so on).

But he has to do something. Look at those posts, they’re full of rage and bile. Sometimes he gets so angry he doesn’t even edit for spelling or punctuation. Once he actually forgot to include a link to the outrage that set him off.

These posts are Ron’s “angry dome”. It’s a way for him to let off steam and feel that he’s accomplished “something”. Look at how Ron’s challenges are setup. There are three classes of response: 1) Agree with his views on the Tea Party, 2) Be silent and thus complicit. 3) Say anything else and thus be a racist topic avoider.

He’s not looking for dialog; he’s looking for confirmation and emotional satisfaction.,

  11. Ron Rosenbaum is the second total disgrace associated with PJM. The first is Charles Johnson, now widely known as a “libelblogger” for his insane rants and accusations of “racist!” and “fascist1” and “anti-Semite!” against those on the right. Roger Simon finally had the good sense to sever all associations with the poisonous and unhinged Charles Johnson — why should Ron Rosenbam be any different?

  12. I love how ron is never happy with anything…

In his last whine he sad this

“Or express some kind of denial. Silence equals complicity.”

Then when the tea party does deny and posts videos its not enough for ron… no hundreds say no name calling was done… 3 claim it was done… who are you going to believe the ppl with video proof and hundreds of witnesses… or the 3 ppl who have every reason to lie…

    I know who ron believes…

    O PS

I heard a bunch of jews rioted all night long and destroyed huge sections of property on 9/10 November… the newspapers and media said it was true guess i should believe them…
